43RZ03 - The Removing an Immigration Hurdle Amendment

Whereas Article XVIII, Section 6 states;

Any person, whose citizenship is denied, may reapply by undergoing the entire procedure (minus any successfully completed portions) following the next general election.

; and

Whereas we should be cutting out hurdles in the entire immigration process so to maximise the number of immigration applications received; and

Whereas any reason given for a citizenship application denial notwithstanding, the hurdle should be removed;

THEREFORE the Ziu approves the following amendment to the Organic Law, and transmits it to the people for ratification.

Article XVIII, section 6 of the Organic Law is amended to read:

Any person, whose citizenship is denied, may reapply for citizenship by undergoing a tailored immigration procedure, which shall exclude previously completed sections of the process, at any time. The Minister of Immigration has sole discretion as to which sections of the immigration procedure shall be considered spent or not by any re-applicant.
