Active political parties

This section shows political parties intended as de facto permanent entities spanning multiple elections, rather than the de jure parties ("list party" or "ballot party") participating ad-hoc in each Cosă election.
There is usually no difference between the two, except for the rare cases in which multiple political parties present a single unified list: under current Talossan law, this list constitutes a "political party", while the overarching entities, which continue to exist despite fielding a joint list, actually have no legal standing.
This database attempts to fix the discrepancy by keeping track of both de facto "permanent parties" and de jure "ballot parties". De facto "permanent parties" are shown here, and de jure "ballot parties" are shown inside the corresponding parties's individual pages.
For instance, the ¡Avant! coalition is treated as a "list party" or "ballot party" and listed it inside the FreeDems, PdR and COFFEE's individual "de facto party" pages. Similarly, the Free Democratic Alliance which ran in the 48th Cosă elections is not listed here, but rather inside the ZRT and Liberal Congress's pages.
Note that because Cosă seats are assigned to de jure "ballot parties", and because "ballot parties" run in elections, most of the other pages in this database show "ballot parties" instead.

All political parties

Active parties are always listed under their current name. Former parties may be listed under the most common or well-known name rather than the most recent. This list is incomplete and may exclude one-off parties.
