WHEREAS , we have debated the issue long and hard for a great number of years in Talossa as to whether we should be a Kingdom or a Republic, or whether we should have an elected Head of State or an unelected one, and
WHEREAS , to my knowledge no research has been conducted into what percentage of the voting population of Talossa actually believe when it comes to their opinions on the monarcho-republic debate, and
WHEREAS , it would be incredibly useful and interesting information for us, as Talossa's legislative representatives, to have in future debates on the matter, and
WHEREAS , this wouldn't commit the Ziu to enacting any particular change, now
THEREFORE, the Ziu hereby directs the Secretary of State, and whatever officers of the Chancery he feels necessary, to carry out a public referendum, asking all citizens of the Kingdom of Talossa the following question and reporting the results to the Ziu:
Which option do you prefer:
A permanent head of state whose eldest child inherits the position.
A head of state that is appointed by election at regular intervals.
