40RZ20 - The Necessary Claim Redaction Amendment

WHEREAS Article 4 of the Antarctic Treaty states that the international community "does not recognize, dispute, or establish territorial sovereignty claims and no new claims shall be asserted while the treaty is in force," and

WHEREAS Talossa currently claims part of Antartica, and

WHEREAS this claim was made after the effective start date of the treaty, and

WHEREAS Pengopäts is unneeded by Talossa;

THEREFORE:

1. The claim to Pengopäts be redacted from all official documents of the Kingdom of Talossa;

2. Article XVII Section 4 be rewritten as: Section 4. Territories are Cantons (or groups thereof) which are not self-governing. They are administered by Governors appointed by the King on the advice of the Seneschál and subject to laws of the Ziu;

3. Article XVII Section 11 be stricken from the Organic Law.

4. The Kingdom of Talossa will recognize and abide by the articles written within the Antarctic Treaty System.

5. The claim shall automatically be reinstated after five years with a permanent option to suspend the claim every five years for an additional five years thereafter subject to a vote of the Ziu to be held during the closest Clark to [after] the expiration of this provision.
