40RZ12 - The Relief from Tyranny Act

Whereas the people of the Isle of Cézembre groan under the oppression of the ignominious tyrants who belabour that noble land, ceaselessly mining its rich resources for their own gain and denying the people true representation in their government, and

Whereas these people have cried out repeatedly and with great piteousness for relief of their suffering, appealing to the most noble province of Maritiimi-Maxhestic for redress of their grievances, and

Whereas repeated humanitarian efforts to deliver the people of Cézembre from their great agony and woe through gifts of grain, gold, and medicine have all been stymied by a mysterious and malevolent force administered by the Cézembrean Tyrants which caused not only the failure of successful deployment of this gift, but even prevented the actual existence of the gift to begin with in a most egregious act of cruelty, and

Whereas the scurrilous villains who wield Cézembrean authority have hoodwinked our great and just sovereign, King John, more popularly known as the Saviour of Cézembre's Virtue, who in his great mercy and forbearance has sought to avoid crushing this evil into oblivion, since in the application of said crushing force innocent children and animals may come to harm, and such harm is offensive in his sight, and

Whereas action must be taken to remedy these evils,

Therefore it is resolved by the Ziu, the people of Talossa, and the people of Cézembre that in response to the spontaneous and unanimous demands of the people of Cézembre, the province of Cézembre shall henceforth cease to exist, and shall be incorporated into the province of Maritiimi-Maxhestic. The cantons of Cézembre's territory shall remain unchanged as it passes into the control of Maritiimi-Maxhestic, but all provincial laws, government organizations, representatives, and all other official elements of Cézembre as a province shall cease to have official force and shall instead be officially null in authority.

All references to Cézembre as a province will be stricken from the Organic Law, statutory law, and all books of history, literature, or other publications sponsored or created by the government. Article XVII, section 10 shall be stricken from existence in the Organic Law.
