35RZ13 - The Sexual Balance in the Ministries Act

WHEREAS the Ministry of Women's Affairs was recently created by Prime Dictate of the sitting Seneschál, and

WHEREAS the Ministry of Women's Affairs is charged with thinking exclusively about Women's Affairs,

WHEREAS it hardly seems fair to male Talossans to have an entire Ministry, constituting a substantial percentage of the Cabinet, officially ignoring their best interests, notwithstanding the well-known truism that an unhappy woman makes an unhappy man, and

WHEREAS the men of Talossa bear no ill will to their female counterparts, and would not even think of abolishing that Ministry for which they have long and nobly fought, from the days of the suffragettes for all we know (although maybe creating the Ministry was just a whim of the Seneschál, actually, but anyway) and

WHEREAS this means that the only way to restore fair consideration and representation to all Talossans in the deliberation of the Cabinet and the Ministries is to add yet another gender-focused Ministry, while rendering thanks to Almighty God that there are only two, lest our Cabinet and Government would overflow with such things,

THEREFORE be it resolved that

There be created a cabinet-level ministry known as the Ministrà da Afáes d'Cioveces (Ministry of Men's Affairs),

That the Seneschál be empowered to appoint the head of this ministry, who shall, as with other members of the Cabinet, serve at the pleasure of the Seneschál, and suffering the same fate if the Government be dealt a vote of no confidence, and

That the duly appointed head of the Ministry of Men's Affairs shall be known as "Brewmaster."
