WHEREAS , the post of Secretary of State has been theoretically filled by Wes Emi for the last six months, and WHEREAS , Emi has not actually done any of the work but rather has put it on the shoulders of our already overworked King, and WHEREAS , Brendan Duddy of the Clockwork Orange Party has volunteered to take up this burdensome and irksome task for the greater glory of Talossan democracy, and WHEREAS , he has publicly vowed to operate the office in a fair, nonpartisan fashion, THEREFORE, the Cosâ hereby receives King Robert's formal appointment of Duddy to the office of Secretary of State of the Kingdom of Talossa until further notice, and formally approves him in said office, effective immediately on the 29th of February, 1996/xvii. This will entail his responsibility for the March/April 1996 General Election and all further Cosâ business.
