King Robert has finally used his line item veto! This was after the Cosa practically demand that he do so, in order to remove offensive language binding Talossans to a mythical "Berber heritage" in the recently-passed LC6.12.93, "The Donatüs Act". The original language read as followe: "This also commemorates Donatus, an African religious leader of the 4th Century--and one of our ancient Berber ancestors.... Voting for this legislation does not necessarily commit any Member of the Cosa to acceptance of his Berber heritage. ' Through skilful, Thompsonesque use of the veto pen, King Robert I has deleted some words and letters to make the taxt read as follows: 'This also commemorates Donatus, an African religious leader of the 4th Century--an ancient Berber. Voting for this legislation does not commit any Member of the Cosa to a Berber heritage. " The present bill asks you if you want to restore the original pro-Berber text; if you want to restore the original, longer version, vote per (to override the line item veto); if you want to keep the shorter, anti-Berber version, vote contra. Remember: PER is PRO-BERBER, CONTRA is ANTI-BERBER.
