The election was conducted by Maximally Magnificient Majordomo (provincial Secretary of State) Cresti Nouacastră-Läxhirescu by public ballot, in accordance with Maritiimi-Maxhestic law. Even though the election was conducted under IRV/RCV, all ballots contained just one choice and therefore the tie cannot be resolved with ranked choice. Therefore, Alexandreu Davinescu, Maritiimi-Maxhestic's Grand General Secretary (provincial head of government) was called upon to break the tie according to M-M law, which he did by selecting Ian Plätschisch.
