The 2025 Census

Welcome to the 2025 Census!

You'll need to answer some mandatory questions first. They are meant to ensure the Chancery holds up-to-date contact informations and privacy settings for you.
Answering these is all you need to do to be counted as returning the Census.
You may later answer the optional questions in the following pages, and you can answer/skip as many of the optional questions as you want.

Identity check (optional)

Do you remember your PSC from the last election?
If you still have access to it, you can enter your last PSC (Personal Security Code) so that your response is automatically validated.
This is a precaution in the unlikely case someone attempts to commit fraud by impersonating you.
If you have a Database account, you can also log in, to the same effect.
Otherwise, no worries - the Chancery will independently attempt to validate your response.

Real name

What name do you usually go by in your day-to-day life outside Talossa?
The Chancery will never publicly list or use your real name.

Talossan name

What name do you usually go by in Talossa?
If it's the same as your day-to-day name, you can leave this blank. Most Talossans have Talossan-language names, so if you have one, please write that here.

Primary email and privacy

What is the email address you would like the Chancery to use to contact you?
The Chancery needs your email to contact you for elections and censuses, the Clark (if you sit in the Ziu, Talossa's Parliament), and may use it to forward you certain other emails depending on your choices below.

I wish my primary email be publicly displayed on this database
If you check this box, people may find and contact you using your primary email address that will be shown on your citizen page.
This doesn't affect visibility of your email on your Wittenberg profile: you have to manually change that in your account settings if you wish.
We will never display your urgent email, if you provide one.

Urgent email (optional)

Do you have another email (that you check more often) you would like the Chancery to use to contact you in case you are unresponsive to an urgent email?
This will only be used when strictly necessary, such as if not voting in an election (or not answering a census) would cause you to lose your citizenship, and will never be used to send you anything else, be divulged or published, even if you choose your primary email to be public.

Contact settings

I wish to receive political advertising to my primary email address
If you check this box, political parties can send you political literature through the Chancery during general elections.
Literature is limited to at most one per party per week. The Chancery acts as a forwarding service: we will not divulge your primary email address to anyone.

I wish to receive cultural event reminders to my primary email address
If you check this box, you may get notified about cultural events you may want to take part in, such as the Talossan Music Top 20 and fantasy sport tournaments.
The Chancery acts as a forwarding service: we will not divulge your primary email address to anyone.

I wish to receive Talossan news to my primary email address
If you check this box, you may receive occasional news bulletins about Talossa, such as La C'hronică.
The Chancery acts as a forwarding service: we will not divulge your primary email address to anyone.
